We have our case number.....

We were so excited to hear that we have received our case number. At this point we still wait, but at least we know that things are happening. What the case number does is assigns us a number so our dossier (paperwork) will be reviewed by the Ukraine when our number is up. At that point they will decided if we can adopt from the Ukraine(which should NOT be a problem) and then they will assign us a time to travel. We can expect for them to ask us to travel a few months after they review our paperwork. After having a few families from our agency be a few months ahead of us with getting all their paperwork in, our agency still says that we are on track to travel in the summer. The good new this year is that the Ukraine has lifted their quotas for adoption from the US. This is fantastic news for all those beautiful children that are just wanting to come home to their forever families.

It seems that all around us our friends, neighbors and coworkers are getting pregnant, adopting, or just having babies. You can imagine how excited this had made me. I am hoping that by holding all of these little ones it will help me get through all this waiting. I am so excited,and think about our daughter everyday. I know that she is there, without her mommy....if she only knew the journey that she is about to take this year....if she only knew how loved (and wanted) she is already......if she only knew what we know......
